How It Works
Everything is converted through the SI unit: 1 N·m = 0.737562 ft-lb = 8.85075 in-lb = 10.19716 kg·cm, and 1 ft-lb = 1.355818 N·m = 12 in-lb. Torque is force times lever arm, so a 50 ft-lb spec means 50 pounds applied one foot from the axis — or 600 in-lb if you use a shorter wrench. Values round to two decimals for display.
